I have Nikon cameras and lenses and Deardorff View Cameras and prefer the look and tangibility of film. In 35mm I shoot Tri-x, Pan-x, Kodachrome 25 and 64 and recently some Fuji Velvia 100. With 4 x 5 and 8 x 10 film I use Tri-x, Ektachrome and Fujichrome Velvia.
I scan slides and negatives with an Imacon 848 at resolutions as high as 8000 dpi. Images are retouched and adjusted in Photoshop. Printmaking is a highly subjective task involving selection, interpretation and emphasis.
For top print quality I employ UItrachrome pigment inks, an Epson 7600 printer and Museo Max 100% cotton paper. Colorbyte Imageprint RI Ps the 16 bit files to the Epson. Printshield spray protects the print. Full information about materials is shown on each prints' wide margins.
