2011 Exhibitions at the Peter C Fisher Gallery:

Spring: "Iridescence"
Summer: "Island Elements"
Fall: Expanded "Historic Orcas Photographs"

An excerpt from the artist's statement for "Iridescence:" The joy of making art using the medium of natural light is a major motivation for why I take photographs. For every different kind or quality of light at play in the world there is a distinctive image that awaits discovery.

Iridescence is a superlative combination of light and color. It is intriguing to me in part because so many different materials are associated with the phenomena. In this colorful portfolio, a backlit spiderweb, beach bubbles formed by an ocean wave, an acrylic sculpture, and oil floating on water in a cast iron pan are just a few of the otherwise unrelated items presented.

Thanks for visiting - enjoy the artwork!
